If you are an early riser, you will probably find one of your neighbors taking an early morning jog, because the sun at Oludeniz is a late riser. Glancing up to see when the first beams will appear over the mountain, you may see a myriad of parachutes which have caught the southerly breeze, floating and curving down to a soft landing on Oludeniz beach. Some of the parachutes are in the tandem, the passenger taking a once in a lifetime Arial photo, proving once again that the world is round.

Now its breakfast time, the local tour buses are drawing up to collect their clients who have rushed through a Turkish breakfast, to take them round the local sight. But not everyone enjoys lives for breakfast! and you may find a restaurant which does a full English breakfast, to which you could add a daily Express, be it yesterday's from the local shop. Beach time means a sun bed and umbrella, a ride on the ringo or banana, or just paddling in a canoe looking into the turquoise deep. You could prefer the laziness of your hotel pool, reading and bronzing until you are persuaded to explore some of the surrounding area. And what better than to go on Safari, discovering amphitheatres, estuaries and canyons, and grilling your own lunch? If you prefer a more comfortable way of traveling, how about an air-conditioned coach with an experienced guide.

Warm days are followed by balmy evenings and a good meal. Oludeniz restaurants cater to all tastes, service comes with a smile and probably a Turkish joke! Try the 'meze' and maybe enjoy a glass of Rakı or excellent Turkish wine with it. If you feel like a change, call a taxi or catch one the public minibuses and discover Fethiye by night. Excellent restaurants, music bar, and of course late night shopping.
